Aged 16 months in French oak barrels, 80% new. · Moderately light garnet color in the glass. The nose is largely dominated by oak-related aromas. Enviable core of oak-kissed purple grape, Hoisin sauce and black cherry flavors wrapped in modest tannins. Seductively silky in texture with noticeable purity of fruit, Better oak integration, more fruit aromas and overall a better drinking experience when re-tasted two days later from a previously opened and re-corked bottle.
