2016 Migration Running Creek Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.5% alc., $70. Aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 40% new, 60% neutral. · Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. Soaring aromas of bing cherry, cola and red rose petal. Packed with voluptuous black cherry and blackberry fruit in a mid weight plus style, yet sleek and welcoming. Balanced tannins hold the prodigious fruit in check, and the overall impression is one of polish. Clearly, the ripest fruited of the four wines tasted in this vintage. Score: 92.
