2006 Olssens Jackson Barry Central Otago Pinot Noir
13.0% alc., $32. · Plenty of toasted oak wrapped around a substantial black berry and cherry core. Very earthy, mildly tannic and dry with a touch of astringency on the finish. This wine is youthful and unevolved and needs some time to come together. Reviewed October 13, 2008
