2002 Topel Serendipity Vineyard Monterey County Pinot Noir 14.4% alc., 405 cases, $22.50 · A very unique and interesting Pinot Noir. The nose is layered with cherries, spices (notably cardamom), and a little sauvage. The wine is delicious but unlike any other California Pinot Noir I have ever had. The palate was loaded with stylish, complex spices. Nicely weighted and balanced, this is a kick to drink. Reviewed April 6, 2006 Winery: Topel Winery
