2002 Akaura The Gullies Bannockburn Central Otago Pinot Noir 14.5% alc., $32, screw cap. The entry level wine in the lineup. · Luscious dark cherries, strawberries and wild flowers dominate the nose. Plenty of plump, sweet fruit on the palate that, simply put, tasted great. The fruit literally exploded on the mid palate. This bigger styled wine finishes with noticeable alcohol and tannins. Reviewed April 16, 2006 Winery: Akarua Winery
