2011 Williams Selyem Hirsch Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

14.1% alc., $75. · Dark reddish-purple color in the glass. Shy but pleasing aromas of black cherry, spice and brioche picking up intensity and interest over time in the glass. A plethora of sweet, mouth coating black cherry and plum fruit is balanced by a good grip of acidity and muscular tannins. Plenty of cherry goodness on the generous, soprano finish. Inviting potential here, but this wine needs more time in the cellar. Score: 92. Reviewed December 18, 2013
