2004 D’Argenzio Klopp Thorn Ridge Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 286 cases, $48. · Hi-tone Bing cherries star in the nose with a hint of violets. The flavors are a cherries jubilee with enticing cola and spice notes. There are some darker stone fruits peeking out here as well. The finish is dry and satisfying. I picked this out as a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir before the unveiling. A Gold Medal winner at the 2006 Sonoma County Harvest Fair. Reviewed January 22, 2007
