2012 MacPhail Toulouse Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

14.5% alc., pH 3.90, TA 0.57, 308 cases, $49. Released spring 2014. Harvest Brix 24.5º. Wädenswil 2A, 667, 115, 777 clones. Aged 11 months in 41% new, 25% 1-year-old and 34% 2-year-old French oak barrels. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Aromas of oak-infused black cherries lead to a mid to full-bodied, fruit-driven wine with plenty of black cherry and blackberry lusciousness. The tannins are nicely integrated and the finish has reasonable length and drive. The barrel work is a bit overbearing. Score: 88. Reviewed May 15, 2014
