14.5% alc., $64. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. The nose features aromas of black cherry, BBQ, grilled meat and smoky oak. Very soft and smooth on the palate with a modest attack of sweet black cherry and black plum fruits. A slightly smoky note is prevalent in the background. Pleasant, but linear and not exceptional, with a short finish. Score: 87. Reviewed July 19, 2014
