2012 Kosta Browne Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

14.7% alc., $64. · Moderately dark reddish purple hue in the glass. Nicely appointed nose with fresh aromas of blackberry, spice rub and oak. Mid to full-bodied core of purple fruits, complimentary oak, and supportive tannins. The intensely fruity finish is the most satisfying of the three appellation wines in 2012. Score: 89.
