2013 Hartford Court Stone Côte Vineyard Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

14.2% alc., 594 cases, $60. Released January 2016. This wine is crafted from Old Wente and UCD clones planted in a block within the Durell Vineyard. The site is an ancient uplifted river bed. Native yeast fermentation. Barrel fermented and aged in 100% French oak barrels, 34% new and 38% one-year-old. Bottled unfined and unfiltered after 15 months of barrel age. · Light golden yellow color in the glass. Slightly reductive nose offers aromas of baked apple, pear, peach, toasted brioche and nutty oak. Slightly creamy in the mouth, with plump flavors of yellow peach and pear, ending with a swath of acidity. Score: 92. Reviewed June 19, 2016
