Paige 23
Joe Kalina began planting his JK Vineyard in 1989 with Chardonnay and Syrah vines in the Santa Ynez Valley of Santa Barbara County. He learned winegrowing at University of California at Davis and founded the label JK Vineyard. Paige 23 is named after Joe's daughter, Paige. The number 23 refers to his wife Jackie's birthdate, thus recognizing the two most important women in his life. Kalina produces two value-priced Pinot Noir blends from San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County. The wines may be purchased online and through wine sellers. 805-686-0015. |
