Emerson Vineyards
The Johns family owns and operates the Emerson Vineyards which is situated on 127 acres in the low rolling hills of the coast range. Elliott Johns is in charge of winegrowing and Tom Johns ins the business and marketing manager. 24 acres are under vine with almost 20 acres planted to Pommard, Dijon, and Mariafeld clones of Pinot Noir. The remaining plots comprise a variety of grapes including Marechal Foch, Baco Noir, Leon Millot and Oberlin Noir. Emerson Vineyards produces Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (the award-winning Avelina Pinot Noir and a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir). The winery is located in Monmouth, Oregon.
