De Burca
Winemakers and proprietors Dermot and Darice Bourke craft small amounts (130 cases in 2007) of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir grown, produced from their Cooper's Mill Vineyard located in Forestville in the Russian River Valley. The site is historical for it sits next to where the first power-operated saw mill was located. The mill location has been recognized as the birthplace of California's timber products industry. On January 31, 1970, the site was dedicated as State Historical Landmark No. 835. The vineyard is planted to Dijon clones and Pommard clone. A second vineyard is located in Forestville as well but is under development. The first vintage of De Burca Pinot Noir was in 2000. The De Burca Pinot Noir is value priced. |
