Karen Cakebread, a Napa Valley wine industry veteran and part of the Cakebread Cellars family, produces wines under the Ziata label, named after Karen Cakebread's mother and grandmother, whose surname was Annunziata. The inaugural Pinot Noir was released from Napa Carneros with the 2008 vintage.
Anne Vawter , a University of California at Davis graduate who trained under Heidi Barrett at Paradigm Winery, is the winemaker. Vawter came to Ziata in 2009.
The wines (Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Bordeaux blend and Pinot Noir) are sold through the website online store.
