Galante Family Winery
Located in Carmel Valley, California, President Jack Galante oversees this 5,000 case production winery which farms 40 acres of vineyards. Galante's great-grandfather was the founder of Carmel-by-the-Sea and his family has long had a cattle ranch in the Carmel region. The vineyards were first established on the Galante property in 1983 and a winery was built in 1994 where only estate wines are produced. The first commercial wines were produced in 1994. The property is unique in that it goes from 700 feet to 2,200 feet in elevation providing many different micro climates for growing different varieties. Several wines are produced including Pinot Noir, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc.
