X Winery and Amicus are companion labels established in 2001. Winemaker and President Reed Renaudin has worked in the wine industry since 1996. He graduated with a BS from University of California at Davis and did graduate research in enology there. His resume includes winemaking at Gallo of Sonoma, Heitz, Cuvaison and Cape Clairault Wines in Australia.
Several varietals are produced including a value-priced Pinot Noir from Truchard Vineyard in the Napa Valley. The wines are sold online through the website and in general retail distribution.
A tasting room is located in downtown Napa at 1405 Second St.and is open Wednesday through Monday, 11:00 to 6:00.
