Jean-Marie Truchard founded Lagniappe Wines to showcase distinctive regional styles of Pinot Noir. Her family has a tradition of winegrowing and winemaking in Napa Carneros. The wines are vegan. All profits are donated to animal charities and shelters.
Lagniappe ("lan-yap") is the French-Creole word for a "small unexpected treat" or "a little something extra."
The winemaker is Adam Smith, currently at Crushpad in Sonoma.

direction of Jean-Marie Truchard.

Moderate reddish-purple color in the glass. A floral nose with notes of
savory herbs and subtle oak. Light in weight with soft tannins. Pleasing flavors of dark red berries and spice
with some persistence on the fruity finish. Good.
