Neyers Vineyards
Bruce and Barbara Neyers started Neyers Vineyards in 1992. Today, they produce about 15,000 cases of wine annually, with 25% of production Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from the 50-acre estate organically farmed Conn Valley Ranch. In 1999, a winery on Sage Canyon Road in St. Helena was purchased and renovated. Winemaker Tadeo Boprchardt joined Neyers in 2004 after several years of making wine in California and New Zealand. Bruce Neyers met Joe Swan in the early 1970s and started helping him prune in 1978. In 2009, Bruce and his winemaker expressed an interest in Pinot Noir to Mike Sangiacomo who suggested they consider Roberts Road Vineyard located in the Petaluma Gap region of the Sonoma Coast. The first vintage of Neyers Pinot Noir in 2009 was dedicated to Bruce's friend, Joe Swan. |
