Cowan Cellars
Jim Cowan helped out in the winerys and vineyards of others for a number of years. He worked as a cellar rat for Steve Edmunds of Edmunds St. John Winery in 2006. In 2007 he made his first commercial wine. The wines are intended to be food-friendly, low in alcohol, good acidity, and see no new oak. A Pinot Noir is offered from Bennett Valley and the Sonoma Coast and a Syrah from Bennett Valley. Production is under 600 cases. The wines are sold through a mailing list, the website store, and retailers in Northern California. |
