Established in 1978 in Monterey, California, Mountain View sources grapes from multiple regions including Monterey, Amador, Napa, Lake County and the Central Coast.

Two moderately-priced Pinot Noirs are offered including one from Monterey appellation and one from Carneros appellation.

A Tasting Room opened in 2011 in San Rafael, California at 1040 Court Street. The wines are available in all 50 states and 9 countries.
