Founder and winemaker Mark Wasserman initiated his winemaking experience joining a home winemaking club called Cellarmasters in Woodland Hills, California. Gradually, his wines improved and he won gold medals at home winemaking competitions. He finally launched Vinemark Cellars with the release of the 2012 commercial vintage.

He shares space in a larger winery and produces Pinot Noir (a Paso Robles bottling and a Reserve from the Santa Lucia Highlands), Primitivo, and Chardonnay.
