Folktale Winery & Vineyards

Formerly Chateau Julien Wine Estate, this producer is located in Carmel, CA.. Local winemaker Gregory Ahn and partners acquired the estate in 2015 and renamed it Folktale Winery & Vineyards. The name is inspired by the idea that every great bottle of wine holds a story.

The estate vineyards include over 150 acres in the Arroyo Seco AVA of Monterey County. The 5-acre vineyard at the winery is farmed organically.

Winemaker David Baird produces a Sparkling Brut, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a dry Rosé, along with consulting winemaker Jamey Whetstone. A Le Mistral White Wine and Le Mistral Red Wine are crafted by winemaker Sabrine Rodems.
