Justin Paul Russell managed the wine cellar of a Tennessee inn, worked as a wine buyer for Whole Foods Market, obtained his sommelier certification and worked two harvests at Maysara before starting his own label. He works at Whole Foods Market in Portland by day and crafts his first wines at the Southeast Wine Collective, producing a mere 220 cases.
A new winery production and tasting room was to open in early 2016 just off the Spring Water Corridor trail, around the corner from downtown Sellwood. Wine club members are participating in raising funds to build out the space.
