Jan-Marc and Barbara were long-time restaurant chefs in San Francisco, CA, and Portland, OR. Hanging out with winemakers and grape growers for years in 2003 they decided to make their first wine in their two-car garage. In 2008, they launched the commercial Jan-Marc Wine Cellars with about 400 cases produced and by 2013 1,000 cases were in production.
Pinot Noir is sourced from friends at Sunnyside Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. Several other varietals are offered including Riesling Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.
At the winery's Garagiste Wine Bar in Portland, there is a tasting room and pub open Wednesdays - Sundays.
