Mossback
Crew Wine Company is a partnership of several wine professionals with years of experience in the business. Several varieties are produced under different labels including Mossback (Pinot Noir), Matchbook, Sawbuck, and Chasing Venus. The single Mossback Pinot Noir I sampled was perfectly fine. The wines are sold on the website.
Articles About MossbackReviewed Wines![]() 2006 Mossback Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.1% alc., $22. · Perfumed nose that is very floral with hints of black cherries, Moroccan spices, oak toast and Chanel #5. Dark stone fruits dominant on the palate. Mouth-coating tannins and a floral lift on the finish. Decent. Reviewed November 2, 2008 ARTICLE »
2005 Mossback Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (?alc. - couldn’t find on label), $26. This wine won a Gold Medal at the recent Sonoma Harvest event. · This is a very nice example of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Sandalwood and red cherries perfume the wine leading to plenty of Bing cherry, coca-cola, and exotic spices. Very light on its feet, this Pinot finishes smoothly and clean. The whole package is nicely balanced. Nothing old-fashioned about this one. Reviewed April 30, 2007 ARTICLE »
