Holdredge Wines
A small boutique producer of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel founded in 2001 with a tasting room located at 51 Front St. in Healdsburg (a few blocks off the town square). Tasting room is open weekends 11-4:30. Annual production is 3,000 cases. Owners are John and Carrie Holdridge with John handling the winemaking duties. Much of the wine is sold through a mailing list or at the tasting room. 707-431-1424.

The aromas are promising, offering scents of black cherries, brewed tea, baking spice and subtle oak char. 2006 Holdredge Wren Hop Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 14.0% alc., $34. · Bright aromas of Bing cherry and dried flowers. Light in weight but a good attack of cherry and cranberry fruit. with overtones of dried herbs. Cleansing acidity on the slightly tart and citrus finish. Decent. Reviewed August 4, 2008 ARTICLE »
