Waltzing Bear Wines
Brad Lowman is another protege of Brian Loring and started his own label in 2002. He sources grapes in several regions including the Santa Lucia Highlands (Garys'), Santa Maria Valley (Rancho Ontiveros, Solomon Hills) and Santa Barbara County (Cargasacchi-Jalama). The wines are made at Tantara Winery, where Brad helps out as well. Brad still lives and works in Southern California. Why name it Waltzing Bear Wines? Brad says, "Because the waltz is the most elegant dance, and Pinot Noir is the most elegant wine, and Brad is as clumsy as a bear on the dance floor, but still enjoys the elegant things in life!" The wines are available on the website and through retail channels. 877-958-9464.
