Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard
Jeff Emery first came to the iconic Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard in 1979, serving an apprenticeship under the owner, Ken Burnap, and staying on ever since. In 2002, Jeff took over the business when Ken retired and in 2008 moved the winery to the Surf City Vintner complex in Santa Cruz. The original Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard property was sold in 2004 to an investment group and renamed Wines of Vine Hill. Library wines from the original Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard Estate are still available. Recent vintages have come from Branciforte Ridge Vineyard and Branciforte Creek Vineyard, both located in the Vine Hill subregion of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Tasting is available by appointment and the tasting room is often open on weekends.
