2014 Kessler-Haak Estate Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

13.3% alc., 360 cases, $N/A. Clones 115, 667 and 777. Aged 10 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels, 33% new. · Moderately dark garnet color in the glass. Pleasing aromas of dark fruits and oak barrel in harmony. Fruit-driven in a mid weight style, showing fruit flavors of black cherry and blackberry. Rather seamless, with an easygoing character and a modest finish. When tasted the following day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle, the nose expressed more black cherry and spice goodness. Score: 90. Reviewed July 21, 2018
