2006 Seufert Winery Reserve Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

13.9% alc.. · Moderately dark reddish-purple color in the glass. Ripe fruit aroma profile that takes some coaxing to emerge. Delicious and substantial core of black cherries, black raspberries and plum sauce supported by husky tannins. Bright acidity brings the fruit into focus and balances the tannins, and contributes a citrus toned berry finish of some length. A thoroughly enjoyable drink that beautifully reflects the warm vintage, displaying its good points (ripe, luscious fruit) without its bad qualities (high alcohols, over ripeness).
