2010 The Eyrie Vineyards Original Vines Reserve Chardonnay

13.5% alc., $45. A barrel selection. · Shy but pleasing aromas of fresh lemons and fig. Fresh and minerally, offering flavors of fresh green apple, lemon and hazelnut, backed by a good cut of acidity, finishing with a lemon-driven flourish. A connoisseur’s wine that will challenge the senses. Enjoyable now, but will age easily ten years. Very good. Reviewed September 12, 2012
