2009 Árdiri Vineyard Select Chehalem Mountains Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

15.5% alc., $29. · Medium reddish-purple color in the glass. Not particular expressive nose with delicate aromas of very ripe black fruits and oak. Unusual heft and ripeness for Oregon although 2009 was a warm vintage. Flavors of black plum reduction sauce, blackberry jam and black tea with muscular tannins in the background. Too ripe for my taste. Decent. Reviewed June 4, 2013
