2012 Kosta Browne Cohn Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

14.7% alc., 36 cases, $84. · Moderately dark reddish purple color in the glass. Brooding aromas of dark fruits, wine cave, seasoned oak and spice cabinet. Bold and dense charge of purple and black berry fruits with hints of cassis and spice, filling the mouth with goodness and lasting on quite a glorious finish. This wine sports admirable balance and plenty of old vine goodness. Even better later in the day from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. A special, even exceptional wine. Score: 94.
