2012 Brewer-Clifton Hapgood Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

15.0% alc., $84. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Inviting aromas of whole cluster driven spice and rose petal with a hint of redwood. Middleweight attack of ripe black cherry fruit with a subtle earthy, oaky bent and a hint of chocolate, finishing with expansive fruit flavors. Everything is in balance. Score: 90-91.
