2012 Foggy Bottom by Easkoot Cellars Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

13.5% alc., $21. Clones 115, 777, 667 and Swan. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. The nose starts out with complimentary cherry and oak aromas, becoming more oak-dominated over time in the glass. Soft, supple and easy to drink, with flavors of black cherry, ollaliberry, root beer and oak. The wine snuggles in nicely on the mid palate, finishing slightly shallow, but with a good cut of acidity and a tug of aromatic candied cherry. There is more oak at play in this wine than I prefer. Score: 87. Reviewed April 20, 2015
