13.9% alc., pH 3.61, TA 0.59, 682 cases, $62. This vineyard was planted by Steve Dutton to several Pinot Noir clones. Pommard, 2A, “828,” and 667 were chose for this bottling. 100% de-stemmed, 5-day cold soak, clones fermented separately, aged 17 months in French oak barrels, 55% new. · Moderate reddish purple color in the glass. The nose wants for fruit, offering instead scents of dusty rose and nutty oak. More expressive on the palate, with a generous attack of black cherry and dark berry fruits. Suave and balanced, with modest tannins and a fruit-driven finish that elevates the experience and offers welcome length. Score: 90. Reviewed November 22, 2015
