2014 Morgan Twelve Clones Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir

13.8% alc., pH 3.55, TA 0.57, $34. 57% Double L Vineyard. Aged 8 months in French oak barrels, 37% new. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. A perfume of black cherry, cedary oak, charcoal and turned earth leads to a light to mid weight styled wine with a core of black cherry and pomegranate fruits. Silky in the mouth, with modest fruit intensity, a hint of smoky oak, bright acidity, and a slight sense of alcoholic warmth on the fruit-filled finish. Score: 89. Reviewed June 18, 2016
