Sourced from Rio Vista Vineyard, Garey Vineyard, Nielson Vineyard, Sierra Madre Vineyard and Buena Terra Vineyard. 53% from Santa Maria Valley and 47% from Sta. Rita Hills. · Moderately light reddish-purple color in the glass. Pleasing aromas of black cherries, ripe berries and echoes of oak. Very tasty black cherry core with hints of red hard candy and spice and an earthy undertone. A very approachable mid weight offering with mild tannins and a silky mouth feel. Almost weightless. 2012 small + tall “Little Joy” Garey Vineyard Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir

13.5% alc., $48. Clone 777. 100% de-stemmed, 4 to 6-day cold soak, native fermentation, aged 16 months in French oak barrels (0% new). · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. Embracing aromas of cherries and berries with a compliment of oak. Relatively light in weight but quite flavorful, featuring red fruits brought to life with juicy acidity. 2009 Brophy Clark Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir

14.7% alc., pH 3.61, TA 0.62, 300 cases, $24. Sourced from the Garey Vineyard originally planted by Robert Mondavi Winery in 1998 (Dijon 115, 667 and Pommard clones), and the Goodchild Vineyard (clone 667). Aged 18 months in French oak. · Moderately light reddish-purple color in the glass. Nicely perfumed with aromas of dark cherries, brier and spice. $48. This vineyard was planted in the late 1990s to be the premier vineyard of the Robert Mondavi Corporation’s Santa Maria Valley holdings. It is named for the tiny township of Garey on Foxen Canyon Road adjacent to the vineyard. Sourced from a vineyard block planted to clone 777. · This wine has been big and intense in the past, but this vintage is toned down. Discreet spicy cherry nose with a serenade of juicy and ever-expanding red and blue fruit flavors. This one has the full arsenal. Check for future release date. 2005 Bianchi Signature Selection Garey Vineyard Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir

14.6% alc., $25. · This wine wows you from start to finish. Great scent of fresh, ripe strawberries, raspberries and brown spice. Lovely deep flavors of strawberry jam, Damsel plums, vanilla, root beer, toast and spice. Nice full mouth feel without flabbiness. Balance is spot on.
