Domaine Pierre Gelin
The estate is owned by the Gelin family of a dozen hectares in the communes of Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin. The property created in 1925 by Pierre Gelin is now operated by Stéphene Gelin and his wife assisted by their son Pierre-Emmanuel who joined the company in September 2000. Types of wines: Passetoutgrain Burgundy, Bourgogne Aligoté, burgundy red, Fixin 1ers crus The Hervelets, Arvelets and Clos Napoleon (monopoly), Gevrey Chambertin "Clos de Meixvelles" (monopoly), Gevrey Chambertin 1er cru Clos Prieur and Chambertin Clos de Beze. The farming methods are traditional, limited yields and manual harvesting. After a breeding in oak casks of 22/24 months, the wines are bottled at the property.
