Poetic Cellars
A new winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains in 2010 started by winemaker Katy Lovell, a hands-on, do-everything winery owner who is also an attorney and educator at Santa Clara University by day. Lovell bottles, designs, and prints her own labels. She sources grapes from vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains (PInot Noir, Merlot and Chardonnay) as well as Mendocino and Livermore, where she established her first winery, Rios-Lovell nearly two decades ago. The winery is located on 36 acres in Soquel in the Santa Cruz Mountains A 2008 Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir is the inaugural Pinot Noir release. Poetic Cellars wines are sold on the winery's website. |
