Casa Torres Winery & Vineyard
Bob Torres' family has been in Santa Maria Valley for over 100 years. Bob is an old-school Santa Maria guy who ears a cowboy hat and boots. He opened his first Pappy's restaurant in 1957. He first planted Pinot Noir vines outside his Santa Maria ranch house in 2000. The grapes went into the Belle Glos label. In 2006, he decided to hold fruit back and bottle his own wine. The first vintage was crafted by winemaker Lane Tanner. The Casa Torres label is now Toretti's Family Vineyard, named by blending the Torres surname with Maretti, Bob Torres' wife's maiden name. |
