Enos Vineyards
Owner Jason Enos had a successful career in sourcing high quality ingredients for chefs, then led a small start up technology company to become one of the leaders in the industry. Longing to return to his roots in food and wine, he acquired an 8-acre estate in Dry Creek Valley outside of Healdsburg, CA. Since 2005, Enos has been transforming his 5-acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard into a wine-producing estate complete with an olive orchard and wine case. The entire estate is solar and solar thermal powered and gradually becoming fully sustainable. The winemaker is Dan Fitzgerald, a graduate of the enology program at California State University at Fresno who is also an assistant winemaker at Pellegrini Family Vineyards in the Russian River Valley. He has had winemaking experience at Coldstream Hills in the Yarra Valley of Australia, Robert Sinskey Vineyards in Napa Valley, and Williams Selyem. The winery specializes in estate Cabernet Sauvignon. A Rosé of Pinot Noir (Origine) was released from the 2011 vintage. The wines are sold through a mailing list with limited retail and restaurant distribution in the San Francisco Bay Area. |
