EIEIO & Company
This winery began as a negociant operation with 200 case production in 1998, and today releases 1,800 cases annually of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Owner Jay McDonald has found a 30+acre location (undisclosed as of mid 2012) uniquely suited for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In 1995, McDonald bought and then converted the historic bank building in downtown Carlton to the Tasting Room in Carlton. The Tasting Room was one of the first venues for consumers to be able to taste wines from the Willamette Valley. EIEIO & Company was created in 1998 and became a bonded winery in 2003. McDonald's Pinot Noir lineup for 2009 includes Swine Wine, Cuvee E, Cuvee I, Cuvee O, Cuvee Y and Blackburn Reserve. Multiple vineyard sources supple the fruit. The wines are sold through the winery's online store, Oregon retailers and the Tasting Room in Carlton. Articles About EIEIO & Company |
