This winery was launched in 2005 by Peter Mauel. Having spent considerable time in both Burgundy and Bordeaux regions of France, he used these experiences to develop his own winemaking philosophy and style. He moved from his native United Kingdom to California in the early 1990s and worked at various wineries in Sonoma County and Napa Valley. He then attended University of California at Davis and obtained his winemakers degree. In 2005, he looked to the Sonoma Coast and Sonoma Valley appellations for vineyard fruit sources and in 2010, the Sonoma Estate Vineyard and tasting room was established.
The lineup of wines includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) and Syrah.
The winery's tasting salon is located on the Peter Cellars Estate property in Sonoma. Tasting are offered by appointment only. The wines are available for sale on the website.
