Muirwood
Arroyo Seco Vineyards, Inc. (ASV) Wines has been a winegrower with bottling, packaging and shipping services since 1982. It is one of the largest wineries and grape growing operations in California. ASV owns and operates two wineries located in the San Joaquin Valley and California's Central Coast. Extensive vineyard holdings include the appellations of Monterey, Arroyo Seco and Paso Robles. ASV is family owned with two generations currently managing the company. In 2001, ASV began bottling their own wines. Muirwood is a line of limited production reserve wines that are grown, produced and bottled from ASV's finest Monterey appellation vineyards. A second label is Steel Creek. The winemaker is Phil Franscioni. Articles About MuirwoodReviewed Wines2006 Muirwood Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir 13.5% alc., $10. Produced by Muirwood Vineyards in San Martin, CA. Six Pinot Noir clones, aged in new and seasoned French oak. · Deep red fruits with overpowering oak char on the nose. Darker cherry and berry fruit flavors that are soft on the palate and clean on the finish. Once you get by the nose, it is a pretty good drink for the money. Reviewed November 17, 2008 ARTICLE »
