Blackstone Winery
A large producer (crushing 35,000 tons of grapes a year) founded in 1990. The Blackstone California Merlot is the largest selling domestic red wine in the United States. Both a California Pinot Noir and a Sonoma Reserve Pinot Noir are produced. The main winery's tasting room in Gonzales is located at 850 South Alta Street and is open daily. There is a second winery and tasting room in Kenwood, Sonoma Valley at 8450 Sonoma Highway. The wines are currently sold at the winery and through extensive retail distribution.
