Mooney Family

This is a joint venture involving Michael and Margene Mooney and their two sons, Chris and Jon, offering Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. The Mooney Family settled in the Paso Robles area and they initially focused on Bordeaux varietals under the Chateau Margene label that debuted in 1997. The Mooney Family label was launched in 2006 featuring Rhone blends with grapes from Paso Robles and Pinot Noir with grapes from the Santa Lucia Highlands, but the emphasis now is on Pinot Noir.

Michael Mooney, left his former career in high tech sales and marketing to pursue his long time interest in wine. He is the winery's winemaker. Pinot Noir is sourced from Boekenoogen Vineyard and Tondre Grapefield
