Idealist Wines

Young Oregon winemaker, John Lyon, was born and raised in Oregon and started his career as a cellar master at Lange Winery. Later he served in the same position at Owen Roe for David O'Reilly and made his first three vintages of Idealist wines at the Owen Roe facility, beginning in 2008. In 2011, John began working for Crowley Wines and the following year, moved Idealist Wines to its current home in Newberg.

The Idealist Pinot Noirs in 2012 include the Historian and the Diplomat from purchased grapes.
