Eisold-Smith Wines

An Oregon-based partnership between Lauren Eisold and Adam Smith. Both are industry veterans, she developing her winegrowing skills in Europe, South Africa, California and Oregon; he gained winemaking expertise working with Craggy Range in New Zealand, and Bethel Heights and Shea Vineyard in Oregon. Today, Lauren is a leading viticulturist in the Willamette Valley with Atlas Vineyard Management, and Adam is largely focused on making wines for Domaine Nicolas Jay, an Oregon side project of Domaine Meo-Camuzet.

The wines are crafted at the formerly abandoned Beacon Hill Estate winery in Gaston, Oregon, along with a number of old friends. A reasonably priced 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (both $30) are joined by a 2012 vineyard-designated Pinot Noir from Meredith Mitchell Vineyard ($60). The wines are sold on the website.
